How we created a women-only fitness competition

Fitness competitions have always been a bit … exclusive. They were usually just for the pro athletes and elite cross-fitters who would spend hours training, sticking to strict diets, and making endless sacrifices. The trouble is that most of us are just regular people who hit the gym or simply love keeping active. And naturally, we might not have the same big aspirations. But hey, that doesn't mean we can't join in on the fun of fitness competitions does it?!

With the whole CrossFit craze, loads of gyms and studios started organising their own fitness competitions. We were thrilled to see them reaching out to a wider crowd, but guess what? It still felt very much like a’ boys’ club targeting elite athletes and pro-crossfitters . So we decided to do something about it. 


Enter StrongHer Games - a dedicated fitness competition for women of all fitness levels! So, what's all the buzz about?

Imagine this: a brilliant community of women, joining forces to smash those fitness barriers to bits! You'll be surrounded by a bunch of like-minded people who truly get your struggles and aspirations. And it's not just about the competition itself; it's about forging friendships, seeking inspiration, and backing each other up every step of the way. StrongHer Games is all about teamwork - and at our event in June, you'll be tackling four events that test your strength, endurance, power, and agility in teams of FOUR!

This is your chance to find your inner fitness competitor (even if you didn’t know you had one) - and try something new!. We want you to push boundaries, step out of your comfort zone, and discover just how strong and capable you truly are. Whether you're a fitness newbie or a seasoned athlete, there's a place for you in StrongHer Games. It's not about being the best; it's about challenging yourself, learning, and growing alongside the StrongHERD.

StrongHer Games is open to beginners and more experienced individuals alike - read on to see which category is right for you:

If you can do Bodyweight Step-ups, Shoulder to overhead press- 15KG, Deadlift - 30KG, Squat - 10KG, Row, bike, run and can throw a 12KG kettlebell around then you can get involved with our beginner category.

If you can do box jump overs, Shoulder to overhead press- 25KG, Deadlift - 50KG, Squat - 30KG, Row, bike, run and can throw a 16KG kettlebell around then you can get involved with our open category.
